Admission Arrangements
Admission arrangements are the same for special educational needs pupils as they are for all pupils.

Specialist provision and facilities
A disabled toilet is available for any disabled children entering the school.

Arrangements for co-ordinating the provision
SENCO will be released from class duties for one day per week to perform her SEN role. During this time, the SENCO will keep the Headteacher up to date on SEN issues. Any administration (official assessments, School Action Plus referrals, statement reviews) and liaison with outside agencies are the responsibility of the SENCO.
Weekly staff meetings provide the staff with the opportunity to be informed of any children whose programme may require whole school awareness. It also provides the opportunity for staff to inform the SENCO of any issues.
The SENCO and SENSS (special educational needs support service) consultant meet weekly to discuss concerns and progress.
The SENCO releases staff for an appropriate length of time at the beginning of each term to enable them to liaise with the SENSS consultant to discuss concerns and progress.
Staff will be released when appropriate to take part in annual review meetings.
Regular meetings take place between SENCO and SEN Governor.

Resources
Reading, writing, mathematics skill sheets and other support materials are clearly labelled and centrally located in the Deputy Headteachers room.
All subject related materials are located either in the staffroom or in the designated co-ordinators room.
For statemented pupils, funding will be allocated to:
cost of any outside agencies;
CSA salary;
CSA Training
Teacher administrations.
Any CSA designated to particular children are the responsibility of the SENCO. This responsibility includes time-tabling, INSET, and identifying (from the childs statement) any specific aspects of his/her role with a particular child. In most cases support for children with special needs will take place in the units.
The SENCO will keep staff aware of any new resources and implications of any changes in accepted/statutory practice relating to SEN.
