SEN Aims and Objectives

The aims of this Special Educational Needs (SEN) Policy relate to every child in the school. Its prime aim is to ensure that each pupil is provided with equal access to the curriculum so that they can develop to their full potential.
The school embraces 'TheRevised Code Of Practice on the identification and assessment of Special Educational Needs' (2000) and North East Lincolnshires SEN Policy.

 The key objectives are:
  •  to involve the whole staff in the identification of special needs;
  •  to promote positive attitudes and strategies;
  •  to enable effective communication to take place at all times;
  •  to ensure early identification of special needs;
  •  to provide full access to National Curriculum for pupils with special needs;
  •  to ensure that pupils with special needs are making progress.
