Instrument of Government
 1. The name of the school is William Barcroft Junior School
 2. The school is a community school.
 3. The name of the governing body is The Governing Body of William Barcroft Junior School
 4. The governing body shall consist of:
(a) 4 parent governors;
(b) 3 LEA governors;
(c) 1 teacher governor;
(d) 1 staff governor;
(e) 3 co-opted governors;
(f) 1 head teacher (except at any time when the head teacher has given written notice to the Clerk to the Governing Body that he chooses not to be a governor)
5. Total number of governors: 13 (except at any time when the head teacher has given notice as above that he chooses not to be a governor, when the total number of governors will be 12)
6. In accordance with regulation 42(4) of the Education (Transition to New Framework) (New Schools, Groups and Miscellaneous) Regulations 1999, this instrument of government shall take effect:
on the date of making for the purpose of constituting the governing body;
on 1 January 2000 for all other purposes
7. This instrument was made by order of North East Lincolnshire Local Education Authority on 27 May 1999.
