On Friday the 24th November 2006 we were lucky enough to welcome into school a group of artists from Yorkshire called ‘Music Diversity’. Lou Sumray (Painter), Balbir Singh (Dancer), Sam Musgrave (Dancer) and Giuliano Modarelli (Musician) worked with the children looking at some of the different forms of art based around a picture. The children got to experience the different styles of art, dance and music all in a two hour session. It enabled the children to be creative and look at the different feelings that a picture can produce the sounds, shapes and emotions. Musical Diversity worked with two Year 4 classes and the children thoroughly enjoyed it, especially the amount of mess that they managed to produce with charcoal! Mr Brown |
