Mental - double numbers, count on in different steps. Main - Shape - Measure and calculate the perimeter of rectangles and simple shapes using standard units. Measures - record metres and centimetres using decimals, and other measurements. |

Moving and growing - Through experiment and investigation the children learn about how the skeleton is related to movement and supporting humans and what happens to the skeleton and muscles as they move. Animals with skeletons have muscles attached to the bones, a muscle has to contract (shorten) to make a bone move, muscles work in pairs, when someone is exercising the muscles work hard, make observations and comparisons relating to exercise and rest. |
