Dialogue and plays -
Read and discuss stories, identifying the different characters and
voices by using dramatised reading and puppets. Identify the features
and conventions of written dialogue, demonstrate and then write
dialogue. Compare this with a play based on the same story. Write and
perform play scripts based on familiar stories. Turn the story of
Red Riding Hood into a playscript.

Poem & 10 things in a wizards pocket poem.
Work collaboratively in paired and whole class activities, write a list
poem, know how to set out lines of a poem,
use describing words to improve sentences, identify specific words
within a text.
Sentence objective – to practice their skills on writing basis
sentences. Thrass objective – to continue to learn the vowel part of the
Thrasschart. Comprehension objective – To answer literal questions based
on a piece on the text.
