The children will be developing an understanding of how ICT can be used to answer questions which rely on more than one criteria using 'AND' 'OR' =< => in their searches.

Evaluating information, checking for accuracy and questioning plausibility

The children will be developing an understanding of the importance of checking information for mistakes and anomalies, how to detect mistakes and to amend them.

Introduction to spreadsheets

The children will be developing an understanding of spreadsheet software and exploring how changes in price and quantity can affect the total cost. 

Controlling devices

The children will be developing an understanding of how ICT can be used to control simple devices such as buzzers, small motors and lights using a basic control box.

Monitoring environmental conditions and changes

The children will be developing an understanding of how ICT can be used to monitor events by connecting sensors to a computer.

Writing for different audiences

This is an optional extra unit where the children will be continuing with developing an understanding of how ICT can be used to organise, reorganise, develop and explore ideas.

Developing images

This is an optional extra unit where the children will be continuing with developing an understanding of how ICT can be used to develop their visual ideas

Multimedia presentation

The children will be developing an understanding of how text, images and sound can be combined in a multimedia presentation.

Spreadsheet modelling

The children will be continuing to develop an understanding of spreadsheet software by exploring models and answering 'What if..?' questions using formulae.

Control and monitoring

The children will be continuing to develop an understanding of how ICT can be used to control and monitor events by writing procedures which will control input and output devices.
