Only the best is good enough

The school needs to know...

Change of Address

Please let us know any change of:-

a) address

b) telephone number

c) emergency contacts

If you are moving home and intend to send your child to another school please let us know when you intend to leave and if possible the address of your child's new school. If you wish you may still send your child to this school.

Absences

Parents are asked to inform the school whenever their child is absent. A telephone call or written note arriving before 9.30 am enables us to check if any child's absence is not accounted for. If we are not informed of your child's absence you will be contacted. It is important to inform school as soon as possible so that we both know where your child is.

Attendance regulations

In accordance with the Education (Pupil's Attendance Records) Regulations 1991, we must publish information on rates of unauthorised absence. Unauthorised absences will include lateness (after 9.00 am) all unexplained absences, condoned absences and truancy.

The table below shows pupils' attendance at our school over a three year period in comparison with national average.
  2003/2004   2004/2005

Lateness

Although the school is only required to report on children who arrive at school after 9am, we take any lateness seriously. Children who do not arrive at school until after the class has been brought in by their class teacher, will get a letter to say their child is late for school, and this lateness will be monitored. Please make sure your child is in school by 8.50am.

Holidays

If you wish to take your child on holiday during term time please ask for a Holiday Request Form. Holidays should be restricted to a maximum of two weeks each year during term time.

Children in Year 6 should not be taken on holiday during the period of National Testing - usually in early May. If you intend to book a holiday please check the dates with school first.

For holiday dates please see the Diary page.
