The
purpose of this code is to support communications within the
school and to enable the effectiveness of, and consistency approach
to, all activities relating to the professional development of
staff.
It contains common and collegiate goals for all staff and can
be applied within the context of the school aims and objectives
as well as within specific roles and responsibilities.
It is designed to encourage an approach which promotes equal
worth for individual and groups of staff, whilst providing for
an entitlement to all relevant activities and opportunities. |
- All staff at the school will:

- treat every other member of staff
with mutual respect;
|
- operate in a supportive and open
climate;
|
- value the feelings, views and
opinions of all staff equally;
|
- celebrate strengths as well as
identifying points for development wherever possible;
|
- keep confidentiality where
it has been agreed;
|
- give and receive effective feedback
in a positive and constructive environment;
|
- beware of the audience and keep
all discussions at a professional level at all times;
|
- not discuss pupils or other staff
in the company of individual or groups of pupils;
|
- engage in a review of the code
of practice at regular intervals.
